Day 1

1

Introductions & Ground Rules: We start each half-day with light intros to reduce anxiety and set context. Cameras on, be present, be respectful. We agree on norms so the class feels safe, engaged, and productive.

2

Ice-Breaker Q&A: A quick exercise to surface goals and concerns, and to show how we’ll learn by doing.

3

Agile Values: The Agile Manifesto and what those values mean in today’s teams. Plain language and real examples.

4

Agile Principles: The 12 Agile Principles translated into decisions you'll make every Sprint.

5

The Scrum Framework: The 5 events, 1 activity, 3 artifacts, and how the 3 roles make it all work.

6

Personas: Learn how to identify and define a primary user persona to focus product decisions on real user needs.

7

Product Goals: Practice creating clear, outcome-focused Product Goals that align teams and stakeholders around what success looks like.

8

Road Mapping: Explore lightweight roadmapping techniques that communicate direction and intent without locking teams into fixed plans.

Day 2

1

User Story Writing Workshop: Learn techniques to write Stories with the Scrum Team, and alone.

2

Prioritization: Apply a practical rough prioritization technique, and learn how to begin using more mainstream Product Backlog Prioritization techniques.

3

Defining Value: Learn how to evaluate the true value of backlog items.

4

Product Backlog Refinement: Refine your in-class team's Product Backlog for a product you will be developing.

5

Stakeholder Management: Learn real-life lessons of what to say, and what not to say, to your team's stakeholders.

6

Simulation: The last half of the second day of class is dominated by the Scrum simulation. You will be collaborating with your key Stakeholder, planning Sprints, building a virtual product, and demonstrating that product to your Stakeholder during a true-to-life Sprint Review.
