The Scrum.Vet

Veterans Program

We are dedicated to helping United States Military Veterans find and receive the professional training they need. We are committed to helping active duty and veteran military servicemembers afford this training too. We can't provide everything they need, but we'll try as hard as we can to help them become competitive in the civilian job market.

Our Beginnings

In the mid-1990's Rick Waters left the US Army after 4 years of service. He fell into a deep depression that spurred many bad life decisions. Eventually, Rick re-enlisted and did another 4-year tour of duty in the Reserves, spending almost all of it deployed.

Again, in a deep depression after coming home, Rick didn't know what to do with his life. Not knowing what to do, who could help him, or what resources were available, it took 3 more years to get his life back on track.

Vision

We don't want our US Military Servicemembers to ever question whether they can fit in and compete in the civilian job market. If we can, we would be honored to bring professional training to all current and former military.

Our Current Offerings

Scrum.Vet has been growing since April of 2018, but we still are not where we ultimately want to be.

Currently, we offer Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) and Certified Scrum Developer (CSD) courses regularly.

Where We're Going

We would like to also offer Advanced Certified ScrumMaster (A-CSM), Certified Scrum Professional-ScrumMaster (CSP-SM), Dysfunction Mapping Practitioner (DMP), Scrum Better With Kanban, Project Management Professional (PMP), Agile Certified Professional (PMI-ACP)...

We're just not able to offer these to Veterans at this time.
